The Combined Course includes both CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry which is a pre-requisite to do CPCCDE3016 Identify hazards on demolition sites and apply risk management strategies.

Course Outline
Participants will gain the skills and knowledge from CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry to:
- Identify and assess risks
- Identify hazardous materials and other hazards on work sites
Participants will gain the skills and knowledge from CPCCDE3016 Identify hazards on demolition sites and apply risk management strategies to:
- Review site and work plans
- Apply WHS risk management strategies to work activities on demolition sites
- Apply public health and safety risk management strategies on demolition sites
- Apply environmental risk management strategies on demolition sites
- Contribute to improvement of demolition risk management strategies
- Plan and prepare for safe work practices
- Apply safe work practices
- Follow emergency procedures
Entry Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
- Have a USI or create one from: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/Digital-ID
Delivery Locations
- Virtual: Online scheduled sessions with a trainer
- Client site: Workplace training available on request
Assessment Requirements

Students will be assessed using relevant assessment methods which includes but is not limited to the following:
- Knowledge evidence requires student to answer a range of theory questions
- Performance evidence to demonstrate application of WHS requirements
- Performance evidence requires students to identify two different hazards on two separate occasions and apply a risk management strategy for each hazard on each occasion
Certification
Upon successful completion of the WHS course, students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry and students may also request an optional wallet sized card reflecting their achievement for an additional fee of $10.
Verification of Competency (VOC)
Verification of competency (VOC) is used to verify worker’s current competence and assists the employer to determine the skill level of the operator for the model and make of machinery and task.
The VOC is commonly used by employers during pre-employment checks, site requirements and contract negotiations. One-step Training third party partnership with One Step Training undertakes VOC assessment either in conjunction with training or as a VOC only request to provide to employers.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued with:
- Statement of Attainment for CPCCDE3016 Identify hazards on demolition sites and apply risk management strategies
- Statement of Attainment for CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures
