A Haul truck training unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to operate, load, haul, and dump materials using an articulated haul truck. This unit applies to those who work in operational roles. This unit applies to both front and rear dumping haul trucks.

Entry Requirements
- Minimum 17 years of age
- ID to show proof of age
- Have a USI or create one from: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/Digital-ID
- Level 2 LLN minimum (refer to Language Literacy Numeracy Chart)
Duration
- Face to face: 2 Days
- Workplace training available upon request (minimum 10 participants)

By completing this Articulated Haul Truck Training/ Dump Truck licence Training /Moxy ticket Training course participants will gain the skills and knowledge to:
- Plan and prepare for articulated haul operations
- Operate articulated haul truck in line with established requirements
- Load, haul and dump materials to complete work activity
- Conduct housekeeping activities
Student Requirements
- Students must wear steel cap boots
- Students must bring hard hat

- Payment to be done in full before Course commencement
Assessment Requirements
Students will be assessed using the following assessment methods which includes but is not limited to the following:
- Knowledge evidence requires student to answer a range of theory questions.
- Performance evidence to demonstrate completion of articulated haul truck operations that safely, effectively and efficiently follows workplace procedures to carry out work activity.
Verification of Competency (VOC)
Verification of competency (VOC) is used to verify worker’s current competence and assists the employer to determine the skill level of the operator for the model and make of machinery and task.
The VOC is commonly used by employers during pre-employment checks, site requirements and contract negotiations. One Step Training undertakes VOC assessment either in conjunction with training or as a VOC only request to provide to employers.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued with:
- Statement of attainment for RIIMPO337E Conduct articulated haul truck operations.
- Students may also request an optional wallet sized card reflecting their achievement for an additional fee of $10.
