RIIHAN309F Conduct Telescopic Materials Handler Operations
The Telehandler Ticket Training (Gold Card) in Sydney has been designed for people needing to develop the skills and knowledge required to operate Telescopic Materials Handlers. This unit applies to those working in site-based roles.
The TSHA operator Gold Card is proof of completion on one or more attachment types (modules) when operating a telehandler. There are four different TSHA attachment training modules.

By completing this course the participant will gain the knowledge and the skills to

- Plan and prepare for telescopic materials handler operations
- Operate telescopic materials handler in line with established requirements
- Attach, secure, lift, carry and place materials to complete work activity
- Select, remove, fit and use attachment for telescopic materials handler
- Relocate the telescopic materials handler
- Conduct housekeeping activities
Assessment Requirements
Students will be assessed using the TSHA Assessment that includes relevant assessment methods which includes but is not limited to the following:
- Knowledge evidence requires student to answer a range of theory questions
- Performance evidence to demonstrate completion of telescope materials handler operations that safely, effectively and efficiently follow workplace procedures to carry out work activity
Verification of Competency (VOC)

Verification of competency (VOC) is used to verify worker’s current competence and assists the employer to determine the skill level of the operator for the model and make of machinery and task.
The VOC is commonly used by employers during pre-employment checks, site requirements and contract negotiations. DLI Training undertakes VOC assessment either in conjunction with training or as a VOC only request to provide to employers.
Certification and Card Issuance

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued with:
- Statement of attainment for the unit RIIHAN309F Conduct telescopic materials handler operations.
- Same day confirmation email from TSHA with the license number.
- Gold card issued by TSHA via post to your mail address.
